Field Engineer – High Voltage/Gas-Insulated Switchgear Equipment (M/F)

Job Description SummaryWe are looking for a Field Engineer specialized in High Voltage / Gas-Insulated Switchgear Equipment to support the installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems.
The role is highly field-oriented and requires strong technical expertise in electrical systems, with the ability to work closely with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities
Perform electrical commissioning activities on industrial installations.
Execute inspections, testing, troubleshooting and functional validation of electrical equipment.
Support energization, start-up and performance testing activities.
Analyze technical issues and provide effective solutions during commissioning phases.
Perform electrical measurements, fault finding and diagnostics.
Review technical documentation, drawings, test procedures and commissioning reports.
Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.
Experience in electrical substations, maintenance or industrial field service.
Good knowledge of electrical systems: HV distribution, protection systems, transformers, switchgear or industrial equipment.
Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Strong safety awareness and experience working in industrial environments.
Ability to work independently on site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to have
Experience with GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) equipment.
Experience with power plants, industrial projects, renewable energy, oil & gas or heavy industry.
Knowledge of commissioning standards and testing procedures.
Experience with international projects.
Languages
English required.
French and/or Dutch are an advantage.
