Part-time or Full-time:
Full time
Hours of work:

Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) drives new business for WCG Construction by identifying and qualifying leads, building long-term relationships with owners, developers, architects, and other key decision-makers, and positioning WCG to win high-quality commercial work in its core market sectors and geographic regions. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven sales role focused on growing the pipeline and converting opportunities into pursuits and contracts.
The BDM works closely with company leadership, Construction Executives, Preconstruction, and Marketing, serving as an early point of contact for prospective clients from first conversation through handoff to the pursuit team. This individual uses the CRM platform (BUILDR) to track leads, market intelligence, competitors, and client activity, and represents the company at industry events and association functions. The BDM is expected to develop a working knowledge of commercial construction, including project delivery methods (CMAR, Lump Sum, Design-Build, and Integrated Project Delivery), and to apply that knowledge to position WCG effectively with clients.
In summary, the BDM: (1) identifies and vets strong, relevant leads in core market sectors; (2) nurtures those leads and the surrounding relationships to position WCG as the preferred contractor for project pursuits (BUILDR “Projects”); (3) relays key intelligence surrounding pursuits to the pursuit lead so WCG responses are highly tailored and competitive; and (4) once pursuit deliverables are submitted, uses established relationships to help move the process toward contract execution with ownership.
