OUR MISSION
We exist to create a more connected, compassionate, and confident experience for people with cancer and those who care for them. We make it easier to get answers, access high-quality care quickly, and feel supported throughout treatment and beyond.
Today, Thyme Care is a market-leading value-based oncology care enabler, partnering with national and regional health plans, providers, and employers to deliver better outcomes and lower costs for thousands of people across the country. Our model combines high-touch human support with powerful technology and AI to bring together everyone involved in a person’s cancer journey: caregivers, oncologists, health plans, and employers.
As a tech-native organization, we believe technology should strengthen the human connection at the center of care. Through data science, automation, and AI, we simplify complexity, improve collaboration, and help care teams focus on what matters most: supporting people through cancer.
Looking ahead, our vision is bold: to become a household name in cancer care, where every person diagnosed asks for Thyme Care by name. If you’re inspired to make cancer care more human and to help reimagine what’s possible, we’d love to meet you. Together, we can build a future where every person with cancer feels truly cared for, in every moment that matters.
WHO YOU ARE
Thyme Care is seeking an analytical, operationally grounded leader to serve as Senior Manager of Clinical Innovation & Design. This role designs new care models, workflows, and clinical programs, then evaluates their success: whether they improve outcomes and member experience, and whether they are sustainable in utilization and cost. You will partner closely with Clinical and Operations leaders and work cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Provider Partnerships, Business Development, and Finance, so that programs are clinically sound, workable for the teams and providers who deliver them, and credible to take to partners. You will contribute at each stage of a program’s lifecycle, from early concept and pilot through scale, and help inform decisions about where Thyme Care invests, which programs are ready to scale, and which should be refined or retired. You are as comfortable prototyping a workflow with clinicians as you are reading a performance dashboard, and you do well in fast-moving environments where the answer is not yet clear.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Senior Manager of Clinical Innovation & Design, you will help develop and evaluate the care models, workflows, and clinical programs Thyme Care delivers. Reporting to the Senior Director, you will:
- Design and prototype: Design, prototype, and refine new care models, clinical workflows, and care pathways with Clinical and Operations partners, so that programs are operationally feasible, measurable, and built to scale.
- Evaluate program performance: Define success metrics and monitor programs across clinical outcomes, member experience, utilization, and cost. Identify trends, variation, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assess sustainability and ROI: Partner with Clinical, Operations, and Finance to evaluate whether new and existing programs are sustainable, and help inform decisions about refinement, continued investment, and scale.
- Translate insights into action: Synthesize clinical, operational, and performance data into clear recommendations for leaders and frontline teams, and support the teams implementing changes.
- Drive cross-functional alignment: Collaborate with Clinical and Operations, and across Product, Provider Partnerships, Business Development, and Finance, to align on goals, metrics, and execution plans, and to make sure program design reflects what providers can deliver and what partners are looking for.
- Support operational optimization: Work with Operations and Clinical leaders to identify process, staffing, or workflow adjustments that improve program performance and consistency.
- Build repeatability and scale: Help translate successful programs into playbooks, metrics, and operating norms that support consistent delivery across teams.
WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS
- Performance-oriented: You are motivated by results and care deeply about whether programs actually work.
- Analytical: You are comfortable working with data, identifying patterns, and translating insights into decisions.
- Operationally grounded: You understand how decisions play out in real care delivery environments.
- Structured and organized: You bring clarity to complex, cross-functional work and manage multiple projects without sacrificing clarity.
- Collaborative and a strong listener: You build trust across clinical, operational, and business teams, and you start by listening.
- Strong communicator: You can translate performance insights for clinical, operational, and executive audiences.
- Adaptable and self-directed: You do well in fast-moving, evolving environments, take initiative, and are energized by ambiguity rather than put off by it.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
- 6–8+ years of experience in healthcare innovation, clinical operations, business operations, consulting, or related fields.
- Experience designing, piloting, and refining new programs, workflows, or care pathways.
- Experience evaluating program performance, including outcomes, utilization, and cost.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and analytics partners, and with teams such as product, provider partnerships, or business development.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- High data literacy and comfort working with dashboards, analyses, and performance metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
BONUS IF YOU HAVE:
- MBA or other advanced degree with a focus on strategy, operations, finance, or healthcare management.
- Experience in oncology, palliative care, or other complex care delivery settings.
- Proficiency with SQL, Looker, or other analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Experience working in value-based care or alternative payment models.
