Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Baptist Primary Care - Internal Medicine office at Baptist South Internal Medicine, located in Jacksonville, FL.
This is a full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday from 8:00A-5:00P.
The ideal candidate will perform back-office Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, maintaining accurate medical documentation, and assisting the provider in this busy office.
Medical Assistant, Job Responsibilities:
Provides medical assistance to physicians and other healthcare providers
Rooms patients and obtains vital signs
Greets and chaperones patients during medical visits
Maintains accurate and complete medical documentation
Schedules patient care, treatments, and diagnostic tests as directed by the physician
Processes prescription requests and referrals
Supports daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow and quality patient care
Experience Requirements:
2+ years of patient care experience
Experience working in a physician’s office preferred
Education & Credential Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required
Associate of Arts/Science preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred
