About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on IT & Web Generalist / Developer who can become the go-to person for our website, basic development, digital infrastructure and day-to-day IT requirements.
This is a generalist role, not one that requires deep expertise in a single technology. We are looking for someone who understands a little bit of everything and is comfortable figuring things out, troubleshooting issues and working across teams.
You should be comfortable managing everything from website updates and backend/frontend fixes to domains, hosting, email accounts, access permissions, ad platforms and basic SEO support.
The person in this role should be able to solve common issues independently or quickly figure out the right way to solve them.
1) Website Management & Development
Manage and maintain the company website day-to-day
Handle basic frontend and backend development requirements
Make website changes, edits, content/product uploads and landing-page updates
Troubleshoot website errors, broken pages, forms, links and functional issues
Coordinate with external developers/agencies for complex requirements
Manage basic integrations, plugins, apps, scripts and tracking requirements
Support website speed, usability and mobile responsiveness improvements
2) Shopify Management
Manage basic day-to-day Shopify requirements
Add/edit products, collections, pages and website elements
Manage Shopify apps and basic configurations
Troubleshoot common Shopify issues and coordinate complex development
Support website merchandising and backend hygiene
3) Domains, Hosting & Digital Infrastructure
Manage domains, renewals, DNS records and basic configurations
Coordinate hosting, SSL and server-related requirements
Maintain records of domains, hosting accounts and credentials
Coordinate with vendors/service providers on technical issues
4) Account Creation & Access Management
Create and manage official email IDs and Google Workspace/Gmail accounts
Manage access to Meta Business Manager/Ad Accounts, Google Ads, Analytics and Search Console
Manage Shopify, social, CRM, marketing and other business-platform access
Create users, grant/remove permissions and maintain appropriate access levels
Maintain a master access list and ensure critical accounts are not dependent on individuals
Troubleshoot login, permissions and authentication issues
5) Basic SEO Support
Support basic on-page SEO, including meta titles, descriptions and URL structures
Handle basic redirects, sitemap and robots.txt requirements
Monitor Search Console and identify basic indexing issues

Fix broken links and implement technical recommendations from the SEO team/agency
Coordinate with the SEO agency on technical requirements
6) Marketing Technology Support
Support Meta Pixel / Conversions API basics
Support Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager requirements
Assist with Google Ads and Meta configurations
Support conversion tracking and UTM implementation
Handle campaign-specific website changes and troubleshoot tracking issues
7) General IT Support
Laptop/system setup and basic software troubleshooting
Email configuration and account support
Wi-Fi/network, printer and peripheral troubleshooting
File sharing and access permissions
Basic cybersecurity, backup and account-recovery support
Coordinate with external IT vendors where required
8) Documentation & Process
Maintain organised documentation for domains, hosting, website/admin access, email accounts, marketing platforms and software subscriptions
Track renewals, permissions and vendor/agency contacts
Ensure critical information is documented and not dependent on individual employees
What We're Looking For
1–4 years of experience in web development, IT support, technical operations or a similar generalist role
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Experience managing websites and basic backend/frontend requirements
Working knowledge of Shopify or another CMS/e-commerce platform
Understanding of domains, DNS, hosting and SSL
Familiarity with Google Workspace
Basic understanding of Meta Business Manager, Google Ads and Google Search Console
Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues independently
Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn quickly
Ability to work with marketing, design, agencies and non-technical teams
Good to Have
Shopify and/or WordPress experience
Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics knowledge
Basic APIs and integrations knowledge
CRM or marketing technology experience
Basic SQL/database knowledge
Git/GitHub familiarity
Basic cybersecurity awareness
Startup or fast-moving environment experience
