Role Description The Chief Enterprise Architect is a full-time remote role responsible for defining and maintaining the overall enterprise architecture strategy across GlitchX Studios’ services and internal systems. This role oversees the alignment of business goals with technology investments, ensuring that architectures for applications, platforms, and solutions support scalable delivery of digital services. Day-to-day tasks include leading architecture governance, creating and updating architectural blueprints, collaborating with business and technical leaders, and guiding major technology initiatives such as new product platforms or service integrations. The Chief Enterprise Architect will review solution designs, set standards and best practices, conduct impact and risk assessments, and mentor architecture and engineering teams. The role also involves staying current with emerging technologies relevant to digital agencies and recommending strategic innovations that improve efficiency, security, and client outcomes.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture, with the ability to design and govern end-to-end technology landscapes.
Strong background in Business Architecture, including translating business strategy into capabilities, processes, and supporting systems.
Proficiency in Technical Architecture, covering infrastructure, integration, security, and cloud environments relevant to digital and SaaS-based services.
Experience in Application Architecture, particularly in designing modular, scalable, and maintainable web, mobile, and platform applications.
Proven experience leading architecture functions in a digital agency, technology consultancy, or similar environment.
Hands-on familiarity with modern web technologies, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, and microservices architectures.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Track record of establishing architecture standards, frameworks, and governance (e.g., TOGAF or similar methodologies is a plus).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in remote, distributed teams and managing multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
