Role Description The Full Stack Developer role at SK Ventures is a part-time, remote position focused on building and maintaining web applications that support resources for impact startups. Day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing front-end user interfaces, developing and optimizing back-end services and APIs, and ensuring seamless integration between client-side and server-side components. The developer will collaborate directly with the founder to translate business needs into technical solutions, improve site performance, and enhance user experience. Responsibilities also include debugging, testing, deploying updates, and maintaining clear documentation for code and architecture. This role is ideal for someone comfortable working independently in a flexible, remote environment while contributing to a mission-driven platform.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including proficiency with HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development capabilities, such as building APIs, managing databases, and working with server-side frameworks.
Candidates should possess experience in Full-Stack Development and general Software Development practices, including version control (e.g., Git) and testing.
Candidates should possess the ability to design clean, responsive user interfaces and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
Relevant qualifications include prior experience with modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Node.js, Django, or similar) and cloud or hosting platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting are essential.
Effective written communication skills and comfort collaborating directly with a founder or small team are highly beneficial.
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is helpful but not required if equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
