About The Role
SynergisticIT is seeking a Software Developer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. In this role, you will work with team members to understand requirements, translate them into reliable technical solutions, and improve existing systems. You will participate in the development lifecycle, from planning and implementation through testing, release, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in programming, a willingness to learn new tools, and care for producing maintainable, well-tested code. This opportunity may suit an early-career professional or a developer with relevant experience, depending on project requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain application features according to functional and technical requirements. Collaborate with developers, analysts, project stakeholders, and other team members to clarify objectives and identify practical solutions. Write readable, reusable code and follow established development standards and version-control practices. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and software design activities. Create and run unit, integration, and functional tests; investigate defects and help resolve issues across development and production environments. Document technical decisions, application behavior, and relevant implementation details. Assist with deployment activities and monitor software performance after release. Identify opportunities to improve reliability, usability, security, and maintainability. Communicate progress, risks, and blockers in a timely manner, and remain open to feedback throughout the development process.
Qualifications
A degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent education, training, or practical experience may also be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or a comparable language, is required. Familiarity with object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, and software development principles is expected. Experience with Git or another version-control system and an understanding of testing practices are beneficial. Exposure to web technologies, APIs, cloud platforms, or Agile methods is an advantage. Candidates should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain technical information clearly.
