Software Engineer

Immo Caractère is hiring a Software Engineer to support its remote team. The position works on application components, API integrations, and reliable software behavior.

You will use version control, debugging tools, and automated tests to complete well-scoped development work.
Responsibilities
Investigate reported defects and reproduce issues before fixing them.
Update application components while maintaining expected behavior.
Assist with database queries or data models when relevant to a feature.
Help investigate test failures or release regressions.
Use Git to manage and review changes to the codebase.
Review logs and debugging output to isolate software errors.
Participate in code reviews and apply actionable feedback.
Qualifications
Comfort reading API documentation and existing code.
Ability to work independently on well-defined tasks in a remote team.
Basic familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Attention to code quality, security, and clear technical communication.
Working ability in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
Annual base salary: $75,500–$78,500 USD.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and able to perform the role remotely from an approved U.S. location.
