Medical Coder - E/M IP

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable E/M IP Coder with a minimum of 3years of experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will specialize ininpatient coding, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and accuratedocumentation of patient encounters.Key Responsibilities:• Review and analyze inpatient medical records to determine appropriate E/M codes.• Accurately assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes based on clinical documentationand coding guidelines.• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure codingaccuracy.• Stay updated with coding changes, regulations, and best practices to maintainaccuracy and efficiency.• Participate in audits and provide feedback to improve documentation and codingquality.• Assist in training and mentoring junior coding staff as needed.• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAAregulations.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in health information management or a related field (preferred).• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalentcertification (preferred).• Minimum of 3 years of experience in inpatient (IP) E/M coding.• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and inpatient codingguidelines.• Proficiency in coding software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
