What you’ll achieve
As an Outside Sales Product Specialist – Data Center & AI Networking, you will proactively identify and solve customer business needs by providing subject matter expertise and creating solutions using Dell’s data center and AI networking products and services.
You will:
Manage relationships with senior-level technical personnel and decision makers (e.g., IT, network, data center and AI leaders)
Demonstrate the value of data center and AI networking solutions to advance customer business objectives
Provide insight and guidance to customers on the applicability of data center fabrics, high-performance Ethernet and AI cluster networking
Act as a technical resource for the sales organization to help meet and exceed their objectives for data center and AI networking solutions

Essential Requirements – Data Center & AI Networking
Strong knowledge of data center networking, including:
Leaf-spine and fabric architectures
L2/L3 technologies (VLANs, VXLAN/EVPN, routing protocols, QoS)
High-performance Ethernet (25/40/100/200/400GbE) and low-latency switching
Understanding of AI and high-performance data center environments, including:
Network design for AI training and inference clusters (east-west traffic, throughput, resiliency)
How servers, GPUs, storage and networking fit together in data center and AI architectures
Cabling, optics and port planning for dense data center and AI racks
Experience selling or supporting the sale of:
Data center and AI networking solutions (switches, fabrics, NICs, interconnects, management platforms)
Related services (assessment, design, implementation, migration and optimization)
Familiarity with:
Network automation, orchestration and telemetry for data center and AI fabrics
Basic AI/ML concepts and how network performance impacts model training, inference and data pipelines
Network security and segmentation in data center and AI environments
Ability to:
Translate data center and AI networking designs into clear business outcomes (performance, efficiency, scalability, cost)
Explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (IT, operations, business owners)
Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work closely with account teams, pre-sales engineers, data center architects and AI solution architects on customer opportunities
Desirable Requirements
8 to 12 years of related experience in a relationship selling role, ideally focused on networking or infrastructure
Networking or security certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, NSE, CWNA or equivalent)
Experience with Dell Technologies networking and/or other major network vendors
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field, or equivalent work experience
