About GhostEye
GhostEye is a YC S25 cybersecurity company with government and Fortune 100 customers. We build software that lets security teams test how attackers could deceive employees and gain access to their systems.
Our platform runs authorized phone, SMS, and deepfake simulations. We are extending it to test what happens after someone clicks a link, shares a code, or grants access, including account and session compromise and the response of security controls.
We operate our own fine-tuned model, voice synthesis, and self-hosted phone infrastructure. Our primary engineering stack is TypeScript, Rust, and AWS.
The role
You will build the interfaces and services customers use to configure tests, monitor execution, and investigate results. You should be comfortable working across frontend code, APIs, and backend services, and explaining your decisions to the people working with you.
What you will work on
Campaign setup, targeting, scheduling, and approval workflows.
Live views of calls, messages, execution status, and errors.
Interfaces that show which attack steps succeeded, which were blocked, and what evidence supports each result.
APIs and data models for campaigns, conversations, permissions, and reporting.
Product support for post-click compromise testing and downstream access checks.
Performance, testing, and error handling across the features you own.
What we are looking for
Strong TypeScript skills and experience shipping production web applications.
Experience building frontend interfaces and the APIs behind them.
A working understanding of authentication, authorization, browser behavior, and asynchronous requests.
The ability to trace a problem from the interface through backend services and data.
Careful judgment about usability, scope, and maintainability.
Experience with Rust, AWS, real-time applications, or security software is useful.
Communication matters
You should be able to write a clear design proposal, explain a technical tradeoff, and ask questions when requirements are incomplete. We expect engineers to keep teammates informed about progress, blockers, and production issues, and to explain product behavior clearly to customers.
Why join
You will work on a small team with direct responsibility for features used by government and Fortune 100 customers. Our founder previously led BlackRock’s red team and worked in offensive cyber operations at MITRE.
