Position Purpose
We are looking for a Junior Geophysical Data Processor to join our Geophysics team in Madrid.
The successful candidate will support the processing, quality control and analysis of geophysical datasets, contributing to the accurate and timely delivery of projects.
This position offers an opportunity to develop technical expertise in geophysical data processing, work with specialised technologies and collaborate with experienced professionals in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the processing and quality control of geophysical data collected during survey operations.
Assist in reviewing, validating and organising datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency.
Identify data anomalies, inconsistencies and potential quality issues, escalating them when necessary.
Apply established processing workflows, procedures and technical standards.
Support the preparation of processed datasets, maps, reports and technical deliverables.
Maintain accurate documentation of processing activities, methodologies and results.
Collaborate with geophysicists, project managers and other technical teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing data quality and processing efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Geology, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical or scientific discipline.
Previous experience in geophysical data processing, data analysis or related technical activities would be an advantage.
Basic understanding of geophysical principles, data processing techniques or numerical analysis.
Familiarity with data analysis software, GIS tools or programming languages such as Python would be an advantage.
Good command of English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
