Job Description
Power Sensing & Regulation Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Shape the financial future of a business that keeps the grid running
Power moves through bushings, instrument transformers, voltage regulators and power quality products long before it reaches a home or a factory. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Power Sensing & Regulation (PS&R), you will be the finance leader and trusted partner to the PS&R Leader. You will guide a newly combined business toward stronger growth, better margins and more cash. Your work will help build the electric grid the world depends on.
You will report to the Global Power Transmission CFO. You will lead finance for a portfolio that brings together Power Quality Products, Instrument Transformers, Bushings, Voltage Regulators and Prolec Components. You will set up one clear way of working across these businesses and still respect what makes each one different. You will work side by side with Commercial, Operations, Engineering and integration teams.
Key Responsibilities
Set strategy and own results. Work with the PS&R Leader to build and deliver business plans. Own the profit and loss (P&L) statement, the balance sheet and free cash flow across businesses, regions and sites.
Build one finance framework. Bring consistent reporting, planning, controls and performance measures to the combined businesses. Align them with Power Transmission standards. Help identify and deliver integration synergies, and confirm their benefits and costs.
Plan and forecast with clarity. Lead long-term planning, budgeting and forecasting. Link market demand, orders, backlog, production capacity and resources to financial outcomes.
Drive performance and profitability. Run operating reviews by business, product and site, and make sure gaps lead to quick action. Build product and customer profitability insights on pricing, mix and cost competitiveness. Work with Commercial teams on pricing, tenders and contract terms that protect margin, cash and risk.
Improve cost and factory performance. Work with Operations, Engineering and Sourcing to lower costs through material savings, product standardization, labor efficiency and Lean (waste-reduction) projects. Turn factory loading, labor use, output and delivery results into financial actions. Spot execution risks early.
Free up cash and invest wisely. Lead improvements in inventory, work in progress, billing, overdue receivables and supplier payment terms. Review capital spending, capacity expansion and product development with sound business cases.
Lead people and simplify the work. Keep reporting accurate and compliant, in partnership with Controllership. Simplify finance processes, and expand automation and analytics. Grow the PS&R finance team, clarify roles, and build strong ties across legacy organizations, sites and Power Transmission finance.
