In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
2–3 years in cost controller, or hotel operations, with leadership exposure
Proficient in financial systems, reporting tools, and hotel management software (e.g., OnQ, Check SCM, SUN, OPERA/OnQ PMS, MICROS, HRLINK)
Strong skills in cost analysis.
Familiar with regulatory standards, internal controls, and audit procedures
Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and deadline-driven
Strong cross-department collaboration
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Monitor department financial performance: Identify opportunities to enhance hotel operations profitability and implement corrective actions
Communicate financial insights: Prepare regular reports and lead weekly meetings to keep departments and leadership informed of trends and cost factors
Collaborate with key stakeholders: Partner with hotel finance team members and the Food & Beverage department to drive financial accuracy and operational alignment
Support department initiatives: Assist the Finance Lead with special projects that contribute to the overall success of the department
