Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Test Engineer role based in Pune City. The Software Test Engineer will design, review, and execute test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Daily responsibilities include analyzing requirements, preparing test data, performing manual and automated test execution, logging defects, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues. The role involves participating in test planning, contributing to test strategy, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines. The engineer will also support regression testing, maintain test documentation, and provide clear status updates to project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Ability to perform Test Execution and apply core Testing practices effectively.
Strong knowledge of Software Testing concepts and hands-on experience with test design and defect management.
Experience in creating, reviewing, and maintaining detailed Test Cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
Understanding of Software Development lifecycle and collaboration with development teams to improve product quality.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with test management tools and bug-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Basic knowledge of automation testing tools or scripting languages is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional, diverse teams.
Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and follow established quality and security standards.
