At a glance:
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. In this role, you will supervise and coordinate installation activities across complex automation and material handling projects, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality site execution.
Working closely with installation teams, subcontractors, engineering, logistics, commissioning and project management, you will maintain visible control of daily site activities, coordinate multiple disciplines and interfaces, and ensure assigned work fronts are delivered safely, on schedule, to specification and in line with TAL standards and customer requirements.
Your Impact:
Lead by example in health, safety and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with TAL safety standards, site rules and safe systems of work.
Supervise installation teams and subcontractors across electrical, mechanical and other assigned work fronts, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
Coordinate installation activities with engineering, logistics, commissioning, project management teams and third-party stakeholders.
Monitor installation progress, identify constraints and risks, and support short-term planning, resource coordination and practical countermeasures.
Coordinate site logistics, including deliveries, goods receipt, material movements, storage and laydown areas, material availability and housekeeping.
Drive first-time-right quality by supporting inspections, ITP completion, defect resolution, commissioning readiness, handover and project close-out.
Track planned versus actual progress, maintain accurate site records and reporting, and provide practical guidance and coaching to site teams and junior supervisors.
What makes you a great fit?
Significant experience supervising installation activities within complex electrical/mechanical engineering, automation, logistics, material handling or construction projects.
Proven experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multi-disciplinary work packages, ideally within an international project or construction environment.
Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, installation documentation and project schedules.
Strong safety and quality mindset, with experience in site inspections, snagging, defect resolution and project handover.
Practical understanding of site logistics, including material flow, goods receipt, storage, laydown management and shortage escalation.
Relevant technical or trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, automation, construction or installation; recognised safety or supervisor qualifications such as SMSTS, VCA/SCC, MASE, PRL, IOSH or NEBOSH are an advantage.
Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English, with strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on and collaborative leadership style.
