Office Location: Pune
Position description: To oversee the
working of a project team and ensure smooth
execution of piping engineering deliverables aligned to
the Business Unit's objectives. To ensure project deliverables
are high quality, cost effective, and on time.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Undertake
contract review and requirements for piping engineering and ensure
design basis is in line with project parameters.
2. Plan
actions for project cycle including documentation requirements, resource allocation,
schedule planning, and work assignment for team members.
3. Ensure design,
QAP, GAD documents, and detail engineering activities/ tasks are completed
on schedule and in line with SOP and Praj's
Quality Management Systems.
4. Manage bottlenecks
and project risk related to piping.
5. Oversee
closure of all Technical Queries Request (TQR), Design Change Request (DCR),
Field Change Request (FCR).
6. Manage stakeholder relationships
(customers, vendors, engineering, project management)
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Man-Hrs.
Estimation, Piping Activity Planning for project execution & preparation of DDI
for Piping Deliverables.
2. Piping
Design Basis preparation.
3. Work Allocation to
assigned engineers & Modeler as per execution plan.
4. Conduct Plot plan,
Layout reviews, Model reviews & coordinate with other interdisciplinary
activities to ensure smooth execution of project.
5. Identify
risk areas or bottlenecks, Preparing & Releasing DCR (Design Change Requests) & ECN (Engineering
Change Notes).
6. Enhance skills of resources
by guiding & training.
7. Conduct Periodic Progress Review.
8. Address & report
important technical / procedural / execution matters to
superior.
Educational qualifications preferred
Degree: BE Mechanical, Diploma in Piping or
Mechanical Engineering
Required work experience
Years
of experience: 10-20 yrs Piping Engineering experience and
leading team of 5-10 Engineers
Required Competencies:
Technical:
1. Understanding
of Contracts, Risk management, Change management
2. Core technical
knowledge in the field of Piping Engineering
3. Knowledge of Design
Codes (IS, ASME, DIN, EN), Standards & Regulations
4. Conversant
with piping components & dimensions / material
standards
5. Understanding
of other engineering discipline needs (Civil and Structures, Electrical
and Instrumentation, Static / Rotary equipment & Packages)
and managing interfaces
6. Conversant
with Hygienic Piping
7. Conduct Plot plan, Layout reviews, Model reviews & coordinate
with other inter-disciplinary activities to ensure smooth execution of project.
