About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

ASSOCIATE GLOBAL PUBLIC AFFAIRS (all genders)
FGS Global helps the world's most influential leaders move minds and markets. Working where business, government, and public opinion intersect, we advise CEOs, boards, and leadership teams at the most consequential moments.
We work as one team across geographies and disciplines - bringing together specialists with backgrounds in communications, finance, law, government, journalism, data science, and digital. Whatever the moment demands, we combine multidimensional perspectives to help leaders anticipate what's next, engage the stakeholders who matter, and drive meaningful outcomes.
Across 31 global offices, we draw on the full depth of the firm so clients can operate with clarity, act with confidence, and lead with trust. This collaborative approach has established FGS as a market leader: we are consistently ranked Band 1 for Crisis & Risk Management and Litigation Support by Chambers and Partners, and were ranked the #1 Global M&A PR firm by deal value and deal count for four consecutive years (Mergermarket, 2025).
Join our team in BRUSSELS as an ASSOCIATE Global Public Affairs.
Your responsibilities
Working alongside project teams, you will develop and implement communication strategies for national and international clients ; primarily in the context of legislative processes, corporate positioning, strategic realignments, and M&A transactions.
You will advise clients on public affairs and produce relevant documents for their political communications.
You will independently monitor and analyse the socio-political and economic environment relevant to our clients, and derive client-specific implications and recommendations.
You will analyse how clients are perceived in the political and social landscape, and develop measures to strategically position companies and their leadership.
You will attend selected hearings and conferences and prepare summaries of the outcomes.
What you should bring
You have completed your university degree with excellent results, or are close to graduating ; your field of study matters less than your enthusiasm for communications.
You have gained practical experience alongside your studies, for example in politics, regulation, and/or public affairs in companies, associations, and/or consultancies.
You communicate with full professional proficiency in German and at a very high level in English, ideally with experience living or studying in an English-speaking country.
You have a strong understanding of economic and business contexts. You are passionate about topics at the intersection of business, politics, and society.
You thrive when writing for diverse audiences and stakeholder groups.
You love variety, and your strong organizational skills mean you can keep multiple plates spinning at once.
What we offer
An inspiring work environment, with the opportunity to work at one of our international offices.
Exciting responsibilities, strong development prospects, and room to make an impact.
Onboarding and individual mentoring by an experienced consultant.
The opportunity to deepen your expertise across various industries and competency areas through close collaboration within our integrated project teams across multiple locations.
Continuous learning and development opportunities (FGS Global Academy).
A committed, collegial, and growing team where mutual respect and team spirit come first.
A company culture that combines excellence with warmth.
The flexibility to work both from our offices and from home.
