Job Title: Health Care Worker (Hourly-Health Aide) - Milledgeville
Workplace: Central State Hospital
Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, learns to provide basic patient care and works with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. May take vital signs. This position is a Health Care Worker (Hourly-Health Aide), scheduled for less than 30hrs per week and are not eligible for benefits.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide basic patient care and work with individuals to develop daily living skills. May take vital signs, and any other duties directed by a physician or nurse.
Participate in providing a safe, secure, clean and attractive environment for individuals, visitors, and staff. Aids other staff when admitting and orienting new individuals to the Forensic Unit.
Transport/accompanied by individuals to appointments and activities in various locations and off campus visits.
Conduct activities for recreation and socialization. Assist individuals with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
Provide training to individuals in a variety of areas depending upon the individual’s needs.
