Operations Manager
We're looking for an Operations Manager to own the day-to-day delivery of US production, inventory, fulfilment, and logistics through an outsourced 3PL and co-manufacturing partner. You will set daily priorities, hold partners accountable to commitments, resolve operational issues end to end, and give the Operations Director accurate reporting and practical recommendations so they can manage the overall plan and make decisions.
This is a hands-on ownership role. You are not coordinating from a distance. You are the main day-to-day point of accountability for US operations, covering a 3PL relationship, a co-manufacturer relationship, multi-channel fulfilment, inventory accuracy, and financial controls. If you have 5 or more years of experience in fulfilment, logistics, inventory, or production, have managed outsourced 3PL and co-manufacturer relationships at a manager level, and can show evidence of independent ownership rather than just task execution, this role is a strong fit.
Why You'll Want to Join
You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
This role requires availability during US Eastern Time business hours, plus regular calls with an Australia-based team during US late afternoon and evening
Own a critical operations function for a fast-growing consumer goods brand with distribution across DTC, wholesale, Amazon, and US retail
High-ownership role with direct accountability for fulfilment performance, inventory accuracy, and partner management
What You'll Work On
3PL and Co-Manufacturing Partner Management
Lead the day-to-day relationship with the 3PL and co-manufacturer including floor managers, account managers, and supervisors
Align production and fulfilment priorities, confirm commitments and deadlines, and hold responsible people accountable for delivery
Report on dispatches, aged orders, production, stock, and risks including sales run rates against agreed forecasts with variances flagged
Investigate missed commitments with evidence, drive recovery actions, and confirm closure
Escalate capacity gaps, stockout risks, and decisions needed before commitments are missed
Production and Quality
Turn the approved production plan into an agreed daily and weekly schedule with the co-manufacturer
Track actual units by SKU and production date, monitor component availability, and spot shortfalls early
Keep production jobs, purchase orders, receipts, and supporting records accurate in Cin7, reconciled to actual production, and corrected for discrepancies
Document quality complaints, gather batch records and process evidence, agree corrective actions with the co-manufacturer, and verify they work
Fulfilment and Logistics
Manage DTC, wholesale, Faire, Amazon, and retail fulfilment against agreed priorities and channel requirements
Keep PO versions, routing, BOL, ASN, and EDI records current so handovers to the warehouse and Finance are complete
Resolve overdue, partial, replacement, and unscanned orders and reconcile systems to what was physically dispatched
Confirm carrier handover and track domestic freight through to customer delivery
Review carrier performance, resolve delivery-window risks, and keep account managers informed of exceptions
Inventory and Systems
Keep receipts, transfers, production, and dispatch records accurate in Cin7
Coordinate stock counts, recounts, and month-end reconciliations and resolve variances with evidence
Reconcile Amazon stock with Cin7 and prepare replenishment requirements using agreed forecasts and inbound receipts
Resolve discrepancies across Cin7, the 3PL's warehouse management system, Shopify, and Faire
Financial Controls
Check 3PL, co-manufacturing, and domestic freight charges against approved rates, bookings, quantities, and services
Document late or incorrect orders, production errors, replacement costs, and inventory losses
Give Finance shipment costs, invoices, agreed terms, and due dates; follow up shipped orders that have not been invoiced
Continuous Improvement
Improve recurring workflows to reduce manual effort, errors, and repeat failures
Document procedures and verify the accuracy of automated or AI-assisted outputs
Analyse fulfilment and freight costs by channel and check packaging and shipping assumptions for new products and bundles
5 or more years in fulfilment, logistics, inventory, or production
Experience managing US operations including US-based 3PLs and co-manufacturers, US domestic carriers and freight, and US retail and Amazon requirements
At least 2 to 3 years at manager level as the main day-to-day owner of an outsourced 3PL relationship including setting priorities, managing SLAs, stock accuracy, invoice checks, and partner accountability
At least 2 to 3 years at manager level as the main day-to-day owner of a co-manufacturer or contract manufacturer relationship covering production scheduling, blending, filling, packaging, quality checks, and corrective actions
Evidence of independent ownership such as a partner transition or turnaround you led, KPIs you were accountable for, disputes and credits you recovered, or escalations you brought with a recommendation rather than just a problem
Confident with Cin7 or a comparable inventory system, Shopify, and 3PL warehouse management systems
Experience with multi-channel fulfilment including DTC, wholesale, Amazon, and US retail requirements such as routing guides, BOL, ASN, and EDI
Strong reconciliation and reporting skills with excellent Excel or Google Sheets
Clear, confident written and spoken English
Available to work US Eastern business hours plus regular calls with an Australia-based team outside standard hours
Nice to Have
Experience in consumer products that are manufactured, warehoused, and shipped across multiple channels
Background in organic, health, or beauty consumer goods
Experience with month-end operations reviews and presenting KPI results and recommendations to senior leadership
