About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Location requirement: This position is open to candidates currently based in the EU who have the legal right to work in their country of residence. AI Chamber is not able to provide visa or relocation sponsorship for this role.
AI Chamber is looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Marketing & Communications Manager to take ownership of our communications and marketing activities across Central and Eastern Europe.
This is not a role focused solely on publishing social media posts or executing pre-defined marketing tasks. We are looking for someone who can understand what is happening across AI Chamber, identify what is worth communicating, turn complex topics into compelling stories, and independently build campaigns around our policy work, members, partnerships, events and initiatives.
AI Chamber operates at the intersection of artificial intelligence, business and public policy. We work with technology companies, scale-ups, policymakers, European institutions, industry leaders and partners across the CEE region.
For this reason, we are looking for someone who is not only a strong marketer, but who also understands how business, policy and strategic communications work together.
You do not need to be an AI expert from day one. However, you need to be comfortable working with complex topics, understanding their significance, and communicating them accurately to different audiences.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Owning AI Chamber's overall marketing and communications activities
Developing AI Chamber's communications and marketing strategies and building campaigns around our public policy initiatives, partnerships, members and events, in close cooperation with the public policy and partnership teams
Creating high-quality content for these initiatives and managing all of AI Chamber's communication channels, including:
– social media presence and content calendar, particularly LinkedIn
– website content, including press releases, statements, articles – newsletters and email communication with members, partners and the wider AI ecosystem
– event communications and promotion, before, during and after AI Chamber events
Identifying communication opportunities across the organisation and proactively turning them into campaigns, stories and content
Improving AI Chamber's digital visibility, including SEO and organic search presence
Coordinating external designers, agencies and other suppliers when additional support is required
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a senior, independent and hands-on communications professional who can take ownership rather than wait for detailed instructions.
You should be able to join an internal discussion, understand why a particular development matters and recognise that it could become a LinkedIn post, press release, newsletter story, media opportunity or wider campaign.
You should have:
• Proven professional experience in marketing, communications, PR or a related field (min. 5 years)
• Experience independently developing and executing communication or marketing strategies in related fields
• Experience working with a trade association, chamber of commerce, industry organisation, public affairs environment or similar organisation would be a strong advantage
• Excellent copywriting and editorial skills
• The ability to communicate complex topics clearly without losing important nuance
• Experience with newsletters, social media, digital marketing and SEO
• Strong project management and organisational skills with ability to manage several projects and priorities simultaneously
• An interest in AI, technology, European policy and the CEE business ecosystem
Language Requirements
Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
AI Chamber operates internationally, and a significant part of our communications is produced in English. You must be able to independently create professional, publication-ready English-language content.
Polish or another CEE language would be a strong advantage, but is not required.
What Matters Most to Us
We are not looking for someone who simply receives a finished message and publishes it.
We need someone who understands the organisation well enough to help find the message in the first place.
You will work closely with the AI Chamber team and have visibility into our policy work, partnerships, events and conversations across the European AI ecosystem. We expect you to turn those activities into communications that strengthen AI Chamber's position, grow our community and support our commercial and policy objectives.
If you understand the intersection of communications, business and public policy, enjoy taking ownership and want to help shape the voice of a growing international organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
