Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Maintain hotel facilities: Ensure the physical functionality, safety and appearance of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces and technical systems throughout the hotel.
Respond to service requests: Quickly and effectively address maintenance requests from guests and team members while contributing to guest satisfaction through our Staymaker and Make it Right programs.
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks: Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, painting, patching and general upkeep of hotel facilities and equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections: Perform regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, equipment and building systems to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
Support safety and sustainability initiatives: Help maintain Fire Life Safety standards while supporting efforts to reduce energy, water and waste consumption through efficient maintenance practices.
Contribute to hotel improvement projects: Support renovation, refurbishment and improvement projects that enhance both the hotel environment and guest experience.
Maintain accurate records and develop your expertise: Document maintenance activities, inspections and repairs. Complete required training and continuously develop your technical knowledge to support the evolving needs of the hotel.
Work flexibility to support hotel operations: Adapt to varying schedules and operational requirements as part of a dynamic 24/7 hospitality environment.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A minimum of 3 years experience working within a maintenance, facilities or construction environment or a vocational qualification in a mechanical, plumbing, ventilation or electrical discipline combined with practical maintenance experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
The ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized and follow through on commitments.
Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
A high level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
A collaborative mindset and a commitment to working in line with Hiltons Values.
