Founding Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage AI infrastructure company as its founding cloud infrastructure engineer. You will design and build the cloud systems behind a platform that helps enterprise AI agents use reliable, governed business context.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and build production cloud infrastructure from the ground up, guiding architecture through deployment and scaling.
- Own infrastructure decisions and establish standards and practices for a growing engineering team.
- Build and operate Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration platforms and infrastructure-as-code systems.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, observability, and logging.
- Design secure cloud networking, access controls, and database infrastructure for relational and NoSQL systems.
- Support data infrastructure and pipelines that power the platform.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Five or more years building and operating production cloud infrastructure, with roughly 5 to 12 years of overall experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including compute, storage, networking, and managed services.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Production experience architecting and managing Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform.
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure observability and logging, cloud security, and access control.
- Experience designing database infrastructure for relational and NoSQL systems at scale.
- Comfort building from scratch in an early-stage or high-growth environment, with a stable work history and full-time availability.
- Experience with data infrastructure, knowledge graphs, graph databases, or AI/ML platforms is helpful.
