Patient Attendant

To perform one on one visual observation of patients who are under a protective order such as a PEC, CEC, OPC, or JC.
Experience - None
Education - Highschool Diploma or G.E.D.
Training - Completion of a PEC Observer course upon employment
Special Skills - Good Communication and Customer Service Skills
Licensure - Completion of a PEC Observer Course upon employment
Communicating regularly with the patient’s nurse and nursing staff regarding observations of the patient
Charting patient observations every 15 minutes
Completing paperwork required for observation of the patients
Alerting the nursing staff for anything that is noted to cause harm to the patient or other team members
Communicating regularly with the Security Staff regarding any Security concerns
Providing constant visual observation for patients that are under a protective order such as a PEC, CEC, OPC, or JC
