Applied AI Engineer

Your role
As a Research and Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of advancing our organization's scientific and engineering capabilities. Your day-to-day
Design and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of our customers and the industry.
Ensure that all research and design methodologies comply with scientific and engineering standards.
Assist in the creation of business plans and budgets for product development.
Analyze and interpret quality and safety test results to ensure compliance with standards.
Stay updated on industry developments and translate them into actionable opportunities for the company and customers.
Monitor product development to ensure it meets technical, functional, cost, and timing targets.
Your skills and experience
Strong Python skills and experience building production-quality software or internal business applications.
Experience building LLM-powered applications via APIs.
Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, agents or comparable AI workflow patterns.
Ability to prototype rapidly, test with users, evaluate outputs and improve solutions.
Knowledge of Git, testing, code review, documentation and CI/CD.
Ability to communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders and focus on the business problem before selecting technology.

Your job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our BeaconMedaes site in Rock Hill, South Carolina
