Join a global technology services environment as a Scrum Master supporting multiple Agile teams delivering data and analytics solutions for a large manufacturing organization. You will help teams turn business priorities into clear sprint goals, maintain actionable backlogs, and deliver high-quality solutions efficiently. Working closely with Product Owners, data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders, you will facilitate collaboration and remove obstacles to progress. Your focus will extend beyond Agile ceremonies to improving team dynamics, strengthening accountability, and ensuring work is broken into manageable, valuable increments. You will support initiatives across technologies including SAP ECC, IBP, HANA, BOBJ, Databricks, and Tableau. Accountabilities
As a Scrum Master, you will guide multiple Agile teams through effective delivery practices, helping them maintain focus, improve collaboration, and consistently achieve sprint objectives. You will work closely with Product Owners and technical stakeholders to ensure priorities are clear, dependencies are managed, and teams remain aligned with business outcomes.
Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to support effective planning, communication, and continuous improvement.
Align Backlogs with Business Priorities: Partner with Product Owners to maintain clear, actionable backlogs that reflect stakeholder needs and deliver meaningful business value.
Support Data and Analytics Delivery: Guide teams through data-focused initiatives involving ingestion, transformation, integration, and reporting.
Remove Blockers: Identify obstacles, dependencies, and bottlenecks early, helping teams resolve issues and maintain delivery momentum.
Improve Team Performance: Monitor team progress, facilitate continuous improvement, and help teams establish realistic yet ambitious sprint goals.
Promote Effective Work Breakdown: Encourage teams to divide complex initiatives into smaller, manageable components that improve workflow, visibility, and delivery speed.
Strengthen User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Ensure stories have clear descriptions, explicit acceptance criteria, and sufficient detail to support shared understanding and predictable execution.
Encourage Outcome-Oriented Stand-Ups: Keep daily discussions focused on completing work, achieving sprint goals, and resolving impediments rather than simply reporting ongoing activities.
Track Agile Metrics: Monitor and communicate metrics such as velocity and burndown to help teams and stakeholders understand progress, capacity, and delivery risks.
Coordinate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with data engineers, analysts, architects, business teams, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions.
Promote Agile Best Practices: Support consistent Agile practices across platforms such as SAP ECC, IBP, HANA, BOBJ, Databricks, and Tableau.
Manage Capacity and Accountability: Help teams plan workloads, identify constraints, maintain focus, and take collective responsibility for delivery commitments.
Support Team Motivation: Foster a positive, adaptable, collaborative culture that encourages frequent feedback, continuous learning, and a strong commitment to business outcomes.
Requirements
The ideal candidate combines hands-on Scrum Master experience with a solid understanding of Agile principles and data-focused technology delivery. You should be able to guide team dynamics, communicate effectively across technical and business audiences, and support multiple teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
Professional Experience: 3–5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a focus on SAP, HANA, data, and analytics.
Scrum Expertise: Strong understanding of Scrum practices, ceremonies, roles, and principles, including the ability to apply Agile thinking beyond simply following established meetings and processes.
Data and Analytics Knowledge: Familiarity with data and analytics delivery, particularly initiatives involving SAP data. Experience across relevant platforms is valuable.
Team Facilitation: Ability to understand team dynamics, encourage constructive interactions, resolve collaboration challenges, and help teams improve their performance.
Sprint Planning and Metrics: Experience tracking team velocity, supporting capacity planning, and helping teams set achievable, outcome-focused sprint goals.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organization, time management, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain business impact, technical constraints, progress, and risks clearly to different audiences.
Global Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries and time zones.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling ambiguity, and supporting more than one Agile team simultaneously.
Team Motivation: Ability to create a positive working atmosphere and encourage a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Agile Certification: A Scrum or Agile certification is preferred.
Working Hours: Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours in response to business needs.
