About The Team
The Under the Roof Labor Planning Technology (UTRPT) organization builds the software systems that power labor planning across Amazon's fulfillment, delivery, and operations networks. Our services influence how hundreds of thousands of associates are scheduled every day — generating shift recommendations, capacity predictions, and planning signals that operators and planners depend on. We work at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, and operations research, partnering closely with Science and Data Engineering teams to bring planning models into production. We value engineering rigor, operational ownership, and continuous improvement, and we're in the middle of a multi-year effort to consolidate and scale our platform across new business lines and geographies.
