A LITTLE MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Compliance Analyst to provide day-to-day compliance support for Gravie’s level-funded (Comfort) line of business. This role will manage and oversee regulatory filings, facilitate response to regulatory complaints, execute regulatory change management process, provide general compliance support and expertise to operational areas, and perform risk-based oversight audits. The ideal candidate brings expertise in health plan compliance.
YOU WILL:
- Own and maintain the enterprise-wide regulatory calendar, tracking all required state and federal filings for Gravie and its clients
- Lead preparation and submission of Corporate Compliance-owned regulatory reports, including RxDC and Gag Clause attestations, with internal controls to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Monitor emerging state and federal healthcare legislation and sub-regulatory guidance (ACA, HIPAA, MHPAEA, CMS FAQs, DOL bulletins) and assess the impact on the level-funded line of business
- Translate regulatory changes into clear, actionable summaries for senior leaders, and drive response and implementation plans through to operational readiness
- Serve as a go-to compliance subject matter expert, advising business partners on complex regulatory questions
- Represent Corporate Compliance in cross-functional working groups and product development, building compliance into new processes and offerings
- Support the production and regulatory review of ERISA and non-ERISA plan documents, SBCs, and member communications
- Partner with Compliance, Privacy, and Audit teams to develop and enforce policies and controls that keep Gravie audit-ready (e.g., SOC compliance)
- Oversee state-based requirements, including advisor licensing and appointments and TPA licensing/Secretary of State certifications
- Design and execute risk-based oversight tasks and internal audits in high-risk areas like claims, enrollment, and benefit administration, then analyze trends and report findings with corrective-action recommendations
YOU BRING:
- 2+ years of experience in a highly regulated industry such as healthcare or finance, and demonstrated familiarity with regulatory compliance.
- Experience in compliance or related field
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate legal requirements into actionable guidance
- Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures
- Proven ability to work independently and prioritize multiple competing demands
- Strong project management and organizational skills
EXTRA CREDIT:
- In-depth knowledge of health plan compliance and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with SOC compliance preparation
- Healthcare or financial services industry experience
