Join our z/OS Mainframe Engineering team supporting Germany IBM infrastructure - one of the largest in Europe, servicing major organisations across the region. As a z/OS Systems Programmer, you’ll help ensure critical engineering services are operated, maintained and continually upgraded, combining hands-on production support with engineering and change delivery across multiple products and technologies.
What you’ll do
Upgrade, maintain and support the z/OS operating system
Upgrade, maintain and support ISV products particularly from IBM and Broadcom
Oversee deployment, planning, configuration and testing for platform and software changes
Create and implement changes while keeping essential environments stable and compliant
Resolve production incidents and provide production support to restore service quickly
Contribute to global product engineering to develop technical solutions across regions and countries using agile methodology
Participate in a support rota providing 24x7 cover including on-call
Provide off-hours support for implementation of software changes and for projects requiring software expertise
What you need to have to succeed in this role
Demonstrate extensive experience in mainframe systems programming
Apply strong knowledge across z/OS, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF and JCL
Use proven knowledge of IBM and CA/Broadcom products with the ability to work independently
Apply strong problem determination skills in production environments
Bring experience supporting the z/OS Mainframe Network environment
Show experience administering file transmission products such as Connect:Direct and FTP or bring equivalent demonstrable experience as a user of these products
Apply understanding of z/OS networking services, related structures, software and protocols
Use knowledge of network security disciplines such as IPSec, TLS/SSL and certificates and how they relate to file transmission, including the ability to customise and manage secure SNA and TCP/IP networks under z/OS
What we offer
The pay range for this role is is 22317 - 27000 PLN monthly, gross.
Additional car allowance in the amount of 4786 PLN monthly, gross.
Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
