We are looking for a Backend Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in building scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend applications and services. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with any modern backend programming language and a good understanding of APIs, databases, distributed systems, and backend architecture.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and applications.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs / microservices.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code.
Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and production issues.
Collaborate with frontend, product, QA, and DevOps teams.
Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
Develop unit and integration tests.
Contribute to improving system architecture, reliability, and performance.
Requirements:
4-6 years of backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in any one backend programming language, such as: Java, Python, Node.js / JavaScript / TypeScript, Go, C# /. NET, Ruby, PHP.
Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.
Experience with Microservices / Distributed Systems.
Good knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, OOP, and Design Patterns.
Experience with Git and software development best practices.
Understanding of authentication, authorisation, and API security.
Experience working with production-grade applications.
Good to Have:
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
Exposure to Redis / caching.
Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Docker/Kubernetes exposure.
CI/CD experience.
Understanding of system design and scalability.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Tech Stack: Any Backend Language, REST APIs, Microservices, SQL/NoSQL, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Git.
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
