SQL Developer

We are looking for a skilled SQL Developer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server development, database design, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in T-SQL programming, performance tuning, and ETL development using SSIS, along with experience in SSRS reporting and database optimisation.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain database structures, including tables, views, indexes, and constraints.
Write and optimise T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions (UDFs).
Perform query performance tuning using indexing strategies (clustered and non-clustered indexes).
Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS, including data extraction from flat files, Excel, XML, and other databases.
Create and manage SSRS reports based on business requirements.
Ensure data integrity through proper use of primary keys, foreign keys, and constraints.
Configure, schedule, and maintain SQL Server Agent jobs.
Handle data migration and import/export operations using SQL Server tools (Import Wizard, DTS, SSIS).
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and error handling during ETL processes.
Provide production support, including troubleshooting, debugging, and performance issue resolution.
Work closely with cross-functional teams for requirement analysis and implementation.
Participate in code reviews, deployments, and release activities.
Requirements:
Strong experience in MS SQL Server (2008 R2 / 2012 / 2014).
Expertise in T-SQL (DDL, DML, Joins, CTEs, Window Functions, Aggregations).
Hands-on experience with: Stored Procedures, Views, Triggers, User Defined Functions (UDFs).
Experience in SSIS (ETL development) and SSRS (reporting).
Knowledge of DB2 development (preferred).
Strong understanding of: Indexing strategies, Query optimisation techniques, Referential integrity and constraints.
Experience working with: Temporary tables, Rank functions, Complex joins and unions.
Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Experience in handling high-volume transactional systems.
Good to Have:
Experience working with Oracle or heterogeneous data sources.
Knowledge of shell scripting for data operations.
Exposure to XML data processing.
Experience in the financial or manufacturing domain.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT / related field.
