Responsibilities:
Architectural Leadership: Design and deploy production-grade internal tools using Golang, with a specific focus on building Kubernetes operators and controllers for autonomous resource management.
Platform Orchestration: Lead complex, large-scale infrastructure migrations and optimise platform delivery.
Operational Excellence: Take full ownership of incident response. You will author detailed retrospectives and implement systemic hardening using advanced overcommit strategies to ensure long-term stability.
Technical Mentorship: Serve as a technical "captain", providing direction, unblocking cross-functional teams, and raising the bar for engineering excellence across time zones.
Requirements:
Professional Experience: 5-7 years of proven success in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
Kubernetes Mastery: Deep internal knowledge of K8S primitives (Deployments, StatefulSets, and Rollouts) and hands-on experience developing custom Kubernetes operators.
Golang Proficiency: Strong expertise in building robust, production-ready services in Go specifically for infrastructure automation.
Operations-First Mindset: A track record of managing high-traffic production environments and improving SLA compliance through automation and tooling.
Modern Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with cloud-native scaling (e. g., Karpenter and Cluster API) and managing OS-level migrations (e. g., Flatcar).
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification: CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) is highly desirable.
AI/ML Infrastructure: Experience with GPU operator enablement or hosting small language models (SLMs) is a major plus.
Ecosystem Knowledge: Proficiency with Helm and GitOps methodologies (Argo CD/Flux).
