We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing to join the IBM/SAP Labs team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing SAP BTP applications, backend AI applications, API automation, and end-to-end workflow testing. This role requires a strong automation mindset and the ability to build scalable and reliable test frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of enterprise applications.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and workflows.
Test SAP BTP applications and backend AI-based services.
Develop automation frameworks and improve test coverage.
Execute API testing and service-level validation.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
Participate in sprint planning, test planning, and release activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation practices.
Requirements:
5-9 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
Strong experience in end-to-end functional automation.
Hands-on experience with API automation testing.
Experience working with SAP BTP applications.
Exposure to backend AI application testing.
Strong knowledge of Selenium and Playwright.
Experience with automation frameworks such as: PyTest JUnit Test NG Cypress (API-focused usage)
Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, JavaScript/React
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in distributed systems testing.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
Exposure to cloud-based enterprise applications.
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
