Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers and product teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
Test new features and enhancements to existing applications using best testing practices.
Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios for functionality, performance, and reliability.
Proactively log, track, and validate defects to ensure effective resolution and closure.
Validate and monitor the accuracy of features and deployments during release cycles.
Participate in PRD reviews, QA sign-offs, and peer reviews.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers, including reviewing their test cases and approaches.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, working closely with engineering and DevOps teams.
Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and practices by adopting modern QA trends.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 3-6 years of experience in Software Testing (manual + exposure to automation).
Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
Hands-on experience in manual testing of web applications and APIs.
Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for backend/data validation.
Working knowledge of API testing tools such as cURL, Postman, Paw, or similar.
Experience with isolated module/component-level testing.
Strong expertise in test case design, execution, and peer review.
Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e. g., JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal handholding while collaborating effectively in a team.
