Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Process Mining Specialist on a contract basis to lead and support our PR-to-PO Conversion workstream and Celonis platform management for enterprise process mining. This role demands deep expertise in data analysis, Celonis administration, and a strong understanding of AI concepts, including agentic workflows and AI agent evaluation. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who can independently drive workstream targets, manage the Celonis environment end-to-end, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable process improvement outcomes.
The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
PR-to-PO Conversion Workstream:
Own and drive PR-to-PO conversion analytics, identify bottlenecks, cycle time delays, maverick buying patterns, and conversion drop-off points using Celonis process mining.
Define and track workstream KPIs and targets (e. g., conversion rate %, cycle time reduction, compliance adherence) aligned with QBR and leadership goals.
Build and maintain Celonis analyses, dashboards, and Process Adherence Managers (PAMs) specific to the PR-to-PO sub-process.
Translate process mining insights into actionable recommendations for procurement stakeholders to improve conversion rates and policy compliance.
Celonis Tool Management and Platform Administration:
Serve as the Celonis environment owner, managing data models (Case Centric & OCPM), user access, performance optimisation, and release management.
Source and integrate data from SAP, Ariba, Snowflake, and SQL Server into Celonis; collaborate with IT/data engineering to maintain robust ETL pipelines and data quality.
Create and modify activities, views, analyses, and PQL-based KPIs within data models.
Design and implement Action Flows and integrate Celonis with SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Copilot, and Microsoft Teams for workflow automation.
Support new application implementations, platform upgrades, and ensure Celonis' readiness for evolving business requirements.
AI & Agentic Flows:
Evaluate and define the scope of work for AI agents and agentic flows within the PR-to-PO workstream, assess feasibility, business value, and integration points.
Partner with data science and engineering teams to test, validate, and operationalise AI-driven automation (e. g., intelligent routing, auto-approval recommendations, anomaly detection).
Provide subject matter expertise on AI readiness, assess data quality, process maturity, and automation potential to support AI agent deployment.
Stay current on emerging AI/ML concepts (LLMs, agentic architectures, copilot integrations) and advise on practical applications within procurement process mining.
Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
Partner with procurement, finance, and IT stakeholders to align process mining outputs with business objectives and transformation goals.
Support enhancements based on QBRs, KPI reviews, and SteerCo feedback.
Deliver executive-ready insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence, preferably in procurement/supply chain domains.
Deep hands-on expertise with Celonis, including data modelling (Case Centric & OCPM), PQL, Action Flows, PAMs, and platform administration.
Strong SQL proficiency and working experience with SAP, Ariba, Snowflake, and SQL Server.
Proven experience with ETL processes, data quality management, and data governance best practices.
Demonstrated understanding of AI/ML concepts, specifically the ability to evaluate AI agent architectures, agentic workflow design, and scope AI-driven automation for business processes.
Experience integrating with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Outlook, SharePoint, Copilot, Teams).
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
Good to Have:
Experience with PR-to-PO or S2P/P2P process mining use cases.
Familiarity with Cortex AI, LLM-based agents, or copilot-style integrations in enterprise settings.
Background in process improvement methodologies preferred
Experience working in global, cross-functional team environments.
