Security Architect

Flipkart is seeking a seasoned and hands-on Security Leader to join as a security architect. This role is critical to driving Flipkart's secure-by-design vision and will be directly responsible for designing and implementing security monitoring and operations across our infrastructure platforms, hybrid cloud environments, and core orchestration layers. You will be a visionary leader responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and continuous modernization of our Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities. This is a critical senior role requiring 12 to 18 years of progressive cybersecurity experience. You will drive innovation by leveraging AI, LLM-based tools, and advanced automation to drastically improve our threat detection, response efficiency, and overall enterprise security posture. You will ensure our security architecture is robust, scalable, and fully integrated across both our core network/compute layers and our multi-cloud environments (Datacenters, GCP, and Azure).
Responsibilities:
AI/LLM-Driven Solutions: Hands-on development and deployment of proof-of-concept solutions utilizing AI/machine learning and large language models to automate security tasks, enhance threat correlation, and generate dynamic remediation steps.
Robust Security Infrastructure: Implementation of secure, high-performing architectures that effectively support threat hunting, forensics, and incident response at scale, specifically focusing on data pipeline optimization for large security data sets.
Security by Design for Operations: Integrating proactive security practices into IT and cloud infrastructure lifecycles, ensuring operational monitoring and defense capabilities are considered from the outset.
SOC and Platform Architecture: Design and optimize next-generation SOC architectures, including core SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) platforms, ensuring optimal performance and integration.
Innovation and Automation: Lead innovation and research initiatives to modernize the SOC by architecting and developing LLM-based tools and advanced security automations that dramatically reduce incident response times and improve analyst productivity.
Incident Response and Threat Intelligence: Architect and mature robust security processes for rapid Incident Response (IR) and systematic consumption and utilization of actionable Threat Intelligence (TI) across security platforms.
Process Engineering: Establish, document, and implement foundational, repeatable security processes for the SOC, ensuring operational consistency and compliance with best practices.
Cloud Security Architecture: Architect and integrate security controls and monitoring solutions tailored for our GCP and Azure cloud environments, ensuring a consistent security posture in a multi-cloud context.
Enterprise Architecture Insight: Provide expert security guidance and architectural oversight across core enterprise network and compute layers (on-prem and cloud), ensuring security best practices are embedded into the infrastructure.
Mentorship and Leadership: Serve as a technical leader and mentor to junior architects and SOC analysts, elevating the team's overall expertise in security architecture and emerging technologies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively collaborate with IT, cloud engineering, and development teams to champion security architecture principles and drive the adoption of new security solutions across the enterprise.
Requirements:
AI/LLM-Driven Security Innovation: Expert-level, practical experience leveraging AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs) to design, prototype, and implement tools that automate security tasks, enhance threat correlation, and improve analyst efficiency within the SOC.
SIEM/SOAR Architecture and Automation: Advanced architectural and implementation mastery of major SIEM and SOAR platforms, with a focus on designing scalable automation workflows and data pipelines that support AI/ML consumption.
Cloud Security Expertise (GCP and Azure): Deep knowledge in architecting security controls and robust logging/monitoring solutions across GCP and Azure to ensure consistent security operations and enable cloud-native threat detection.
SOC, IR, and Threat Intelligence: Proven ability to architect, mature, and operationalize foundational SOC processes, including complex Incident Response (IR) and systematic utilization of actionable Threat Intelligence (TI).
Enterprise and Process Leadership: Strong background in defining and implementing repeatable security processes, coupled with excellent architectural knowledge of enterprise network and compute layers to ensure holistic security design and implementation.
