SDE 3 (Backend)

We are looking for a highly skilled SDE-3 Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale large-scale distributed systems powering high-traffic, customer-facing platforms. You will play a key role in architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and own critical backend services end-to-end.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, low-latency backend systems using Java.
Own system architecture and technical design for complex problem statements.
Lead design discussions and conduct design and code reviews.
Build fault-tolerant, distributed services handling millions of requests per day.
Collaborate with product managers and frontend, data, and platform teams.
Drive performance optimization, reliability, and security best practices.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, raising overall engineering standards.
Participate in on-call rotations and ensure high availability of services.
Requirements:
Strong hands-on experience with Java (8+), OOP, and design patterns.
Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
Experience building microservices using Spring/Spring Boot.
Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts: scalability, CAP theorem, consistency models, caching, sharding, replication, and load balancing.
Hands-on with REST/gRPC APIs.
Strong experience with databases: RDBMS (MySQL/PostgreSQL), NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc. ).
Experience with message queues/streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc. ).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
