Lead Product Designer

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Product Designer to spearhead the user experience for a critical charter in our company and join us in Bengaluru. You will be the design authority for your domain, responsible for crafting highly scalable and optimized experiences that directly impact millions of people. This role demands a strong mix of strategic thinking; excellent craft, including experience with rich prototyping and AI; and the ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders and leaders.
As a Design team, we work on products that empower our users to push the boundaries of the customer's shopping experience. Informed by research and data, we solve complex needs and build iteratively toward our vision. We ship high-fidelity designs of new features and prototype solutions. We own these projects from start to finish and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of developers, product managers, content strategists, and researchers to deliver the best possible experience.
Responsibilities:
Designing for explicit and implicit customer needs and wants and aligning business goals to the same.
Building at the intersection of product, visual, motion, content, and brand design.
Adaptive Interfaces: Design for interfaces that dynamically reconfigure based on user intent, time of day, location, and predicted needs, rather than presenting a fixed layout.
Work on high-priority and high-visibility complex product designs.
Single-handedly drive designs and oversee the strategic and tactical deliverables related to that project.
Coordinate and plan with other functions. Manage stakeholder expectations.
Identifying the appropriate UX methods and tools to use depending on project constraints.
Contribute to our growing design system of patterns in an effort to cultivate a cohesive look and feel and user experience across the entire Flipkart platform.
Coach and provide guidance and feedback to designers around design quality.
Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master's in Design, HCI, Psychology, or any other related field.
8+ years of experience leading designs.
Hands-on experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and AI tools (or equivalent programs).
Deep knowledge of UX design, User research, Visual design and Service design.
Good experience in designing mobile interfaces and responsive desktop sites.
Excellent written and communication skills.

A deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative UX process, including personas, scenarios, prototyping, user research, and design systems.
Are great communicators and can translate ideas effectively across various people, places, and functions.
Experience in mentoring or managing a small team of designers is a plus. Involved in hiring, guiding designers, allocating work, managing conflicts, and involved in design ops.
