IT Infrastructure Leader - Compute

We are seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Leader to drive the end-to-end strategy, engineering, and operations of our enterprise digital backbone. In this role, you will be responsible for a comprehensive landscape covering data centers, server platforms, identity and access management, and workplace technologies.
You will focus on building enterprise-grade platforms that are secure, resilient, and future-ready. This role demands a holistic leader who can bring structure to complexity, driving platform modernization, automation, and AI-driven operations to enable agility and service excellence across our supply chain and corporate environments.
Responsibilities:
Core Infrastructure Engineering: Lead the engineering and lifecycle management for hybrid data centers, server virtualization, and storage platforms. Ensure the compute environment is scalable to handle the dynamic loads of e-commerce and supply chain operations.
Security and Identity Architecture: Direct the strategy for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security Engineering. Implement Zero-Trust security frameworks to protect the enterprise perimeter and ensure seamless, secure access for all users.
AI and Automation: Drive platform modernization by integrating AI-driven operations and intelligent automation. Focus on reducing manual intervention, predictive maintenance, and enhancing the agility of the infrastructure stack.
Digital Workplace Transformation: Oversee the ecosystem of productivity and collaboration technologies. Champion the end-user experience (EUC) by managing endpoint security and ensuring a friction-free digital workspace for a global workforce.
IT Service Management (ITSM): Take ownership of the core ITIL processes: Incident, Change, and Problem Managementfor the Compute function. Drive rigorous root cause analysis (RCA) to minimize recurring issues and improve system reliability.
High Availability and Resilience: Architect systems for maximum resilience and business continuity. Ensure mission-critical environments (warehouse management systems, transaction processing) meet strict availability targets (99.99%+).
Standardization and Compliance: Standardize infrastructure platforms to reduce technical debt and complexity. Ensure all systems remain compliant with industry regulations and internal security policies through regular auditing and patching cycles.
Wholistic Strategy: Move beyond siloed management to align infrastructure capabilities with evolving business priorities. Ensure technology serves as a strategic growth enabler for the organization's digital ambitions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a trusted partner to business and technology leadership. Drive collaboration across Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to deliver seamless and secure IT services.
Team and Culture Building: Build, mentor, and sustain high-performing engineering teams. Foster a culture that balances innovation with operational rigor, ensuring the team is equipped to handle large-scale transformations.
Budgeting and AOP: Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) exercises for the Compute and Security verticals. Accurately forecast capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) expenditures for the fiscal year.
Procurement Lifecycle (PR/PO): Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from technical validation of Purchase Requests (PR) to the issuance of Purchase Orders (PO). Ensure seamless vendor delivery to prevent project delays.
Cost Leadership: Drive cost leadership by identifying inefficiencies and executing cost-saving strategies. optimize licensing, consolidate hardware, and manage vendor contracts to ensure the organization achieves maximum value from its IT investments.
Requirements:
Experience: 18+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with substantial time spent in leadership roles managing complex enterprise environments.
Industry Background: Proven track record in Retail, E-commerce, or Supply Chain industries is highly preferred to understand the criticality of uptime and scale.
Technical Proficiency:
Deep expertise in Data Center technologies, Server Virtualization (e. g., VMware, Nutanix), and Hybrid Cloud.
Strong knowledge of IAM (Active Directory, Okta), Endpoint Management (Intune/SCCM), and Enterprise Security tools.
Familiarity with AIOps, Automation scripting, and Modern Workplace suites (M365/Google Workspace).
Operational Skills: Demonstrated mastery of ITSM frameworks (Incident/Change/Problem) and Disaster Recovery planning.
Financial Competency: Solid understanding of financial planning, budget management, and the procurement lifecycle within a corporate technology context.
