Responsibilities:
Design and build scalable, resilient Java-based microservices deployed on the Walmart Cloud Native Platform (WCNP/Kubernetes).
Develop full-stack features using modern frontend frameworks (React, Node, and Express.js ) integrated with RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
Build microservices with domain-driven design, event-driven patterns (Kafka), and API-first principles.
Design with a platform-first mindset, designing shared and extensible capabilities that empower multiple teams to move faster without duplicating effort.
Integrate AI/ML capabilities: embed ML model inference, feature pipelines, or GenAI features into production services.
Lead technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers across the team.
Own CI/CD pipelines using Concord, KITT, and Looper, ensuring reliable deployments to production.
Ensure operational excellence by setting up observability (dashboards, alerts) and participating in on-call rotations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to deliver impactful supply chain capabilities.
Lead application tech stack upgrades and adoption of platform design solutions at a faster pace.
Requirements:
Engineering degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
5.5 years - 10 years of relevant experience in building cloud-based, highly resilient, and scalable systems.
Sound technical knowledge in object-oriented programming and frameworksJava 17/21 Spring Boot, microservices, REST API, Kafka, relational & NoSQL databases, React, and Node.js .
Good understanding of software fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and Agile principles.
