We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Process Specialist to join our Record to Report team in a leading Global Capability Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, intercompany reconciliation, fixed asset accounting and Balance Sheet reconciliations. This role also involves maintaining, reviewing, and controlling these documents, as well as training and socialising them at various levels of the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other processes performed by the RTR team to ensure these tasks are being done correctly, with proper support and per policy if applicable.
Develop a process to continually audit these processes to ensure adherence to company standards on these tasks.
Create comprehensive work instructions and DTPs to document business processes accurately.
Identify opportunities to standardise and automate highly repetitive tasks based on business priorities.
Drive standardisation and simplification of global RTR end-to-end processes and provide recommendations for ownership and positioning of key processes across RTR.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent work experience preferred.
CA/ CMA/ ACCA qualifications are preferred.
Worked in APAC countries, specifically ASEAN and ANZ countries.
Minimum of 5 to 8 years in similar roles, preferably in a GCC environment.
Ability to adapt to rapid and emerging changes in the business and technological environment.
Commitment to high ethical standards and personal integrity.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Proven track record of successfully implementing continuous improvement initiatives and performance in complex organisations.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and motivate them towards common goals.
