We are looking for a talented Finance Systems Analytics Analyst to join our team specializing in Finance for Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Develop a strong understanding of finance systems and reporting processes, enabling you to support business users with accurate, efficient, and reliable system solutions.
Contribute to finance systems improvement initiatives by assisting with the development, testing, and implementation of enhancements that drive operational efficiency and better business outcomes.
Partner with end users to validate new system functionality, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and support effective financial decision-making.
Create customized reports and perform ad hoc analysis that provide stakeholders with meaningful insights and improve access to critical financial information.
Help maintain the integrity, security, and compliance of finance systems by applying internal controls, following data confidentiality standards, and supporting governance requirements.
Collaborate with Finance Systems, Information Technology, and project teams to deliver system solutions that improve processes, enhance user experience, and support organizational goals.
Proactively identify and help resolve system issues, minimizing business disruptions and ensuring finance applications remain reliable and effective for end users.
Support user adoption and continuous improvement by developing process documentation, creating work instructions, assisting with end-user training, and providing clear, customer-focused communication.
Additional Responsibilities:
Supports BU specific finance systems such as PSBU PROF, EBU DESA/PFR, providing production support as needed, as well as identifying areas for improvement.
Works across BUs on commonization and improvement of processes and finance system applications. Works cross functionally to support related updates to systems/processes.
Creates reports and dashboards to support Finance users.
Creates and supports analytical tools to analyze and understand data and support Finance and Finance Systems; creates tools to support project activities such as system testing.
Participates in project activities such as testing; prepares related communications.

College, university, or equivalent degree in accounting, finance, information systems or related subject required.
Strong MS Office skills, in particular Excel, are preferred.
Knowledge of project management processes is recommended.

Maintain a solid understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies to support compliant financial processes, evaluate business impacts, and effectively communicate financial concepts to stakeholders.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in accounting, finance, information systems or related subject required.
Strong MS Office skills, in particular Excel, are preferred.
Knowledge of project management processes is recommended.
Experience:
Minimal relevant work experience required.
U.S. Early Careers Eligibility Requirements:
Exempt Entry Level: Designed for external candidates within 2 years of completing their highest level of degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD, MBA, or JD) from an accredited U.S. college/university, and currently reside within the continental U.S.
International Student Eligibility (U.S. based roles): F-1 visa students must have approved Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Occupational Practical Training (OPT) before their Early Career assignment begin. CPT/OPT must relate to their degree and be authorized by their university. Students are responsible for securing this approval through their school’s international office.
