Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks using JavaScript, Taiko, Gauge, and Playwright (optional if having strong skill in the Selenium framework).
Define and own test strategy, test plans, and quality metrics for assigned products or modules.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure testability.
Execute and oversee functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across web applications.
Review automation code, enforce best practices, and ensure framework scalability and maintainability.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure test stability in build environments.
Manage defects end-to-end, including triage, prioritization, root cause analysis, and closure.
Perform advanced exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, risks, and systemic gaps.
Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on automation, testing practices, and tools.
Actively champion a quality-first mindset across the engineering lifecycle.
Requirements:
8-11 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.
Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript for test automation.
Strong hands-on experience with Taiko, Gauge, and Playwright.
Solid experience with Bitbucket, Git, or similar version control systems.
Deep understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management processes.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical, logical reasoning, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence quality across teams.
Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of QA deliverables.
Good to Have:
Experience with K6 or other performance/load testing tools.
Hands-on exposure to CI/CD tools (e. g., Codefresh, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
Experience with API testing frameworks (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
Prior experience mentoring teams or acting as a QA lead/owner.
