Team Lead - Quality and Business Excellence

Role Purpose
Lead the enterprise transformation agenda by driving strategic projects, process excellence, project governance, operational maturity, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The role partners with Business Heads and Leadership to deliver measurable business outcomes through structured project execution, Lean Six Sigma, process re-engineering, digital transformation, and enterprise PMO governance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Enterprise Projects
Partner with the Business Heads, and Functional Leaders to identify, prioritize, and execute enterprise-wide strategic transformation initiatives.
Lead cross-functional projects focused on business growth, customer experience, operational efficiency, productivity, risk optimization, and cost transformation.
Develop project charters, implementation roadmaps, business cases, governance structures, and benefit realization plans.
Drive organizational change management to ensure successful adoption and sustainable business outcomes.
Enterprise Project Governance
Establish and govern a best-in-class Project Management Office (PMO) with standardized project management methodologies, governance frameworks, templates, reporting, and controls.
Monitor project health, milestones, risks, dependencies, budgets, resource utilization, and executive decision logs.
Ensure timely execution of strategic initiatives while proactively mitigating delivery risks and removing execution bottlenecks.
Present portfolio reviews and transformation dashboards to Executive Leadership.
Process Excellence & Business Transformation
Lead enterprise-wide process excellence initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Assess business processes against global excellence frameworks including Malcolm Baldrige, EFQM, ISO, CMMI, ITIL, PCMM, COPQ, and industry best practices.
Drive process maturity, standardization, automation, governance, and customer-centric operating models across businesses.
Facilitate business process redesign to improve quality, productivity, turnaround time, customer experience, and operational resilience.
Performance Management & Business Analytics
Develop enterprise performance scorecards, dashboards, SLA/TAT monitoring frameworks, and KPI governance mechanisms.
Collaborate with business leaders to define strategic and operational performance metrics.
Analyze business performance trends to identify improvement opportunities and recommend high-impact transformation initiatives.
Drive data-driven decision-making through performance analytics and executive MIS.
Continuous Improvement & Business Excellence
Champion a culture of Continuous Improvement by driving Lean Six Sigma, Cost of Quality (CoQ), Waste Elimination, Operational Excellence, and Business Excellence initiatives.
Lead project identification workshops and mentor business teams in delivering measurable financial and operational benefits.
Validate project benefits and ensure sustainability through structured governance and control mechanisms.
Drive participation in national and international Business Excellence assessments and recognition platforms.
Digital Transformation & Innovation
Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), NLP, Analytics, and Low-Code Platforms to improve business outcomes.
Partner with Business and Technology teams to implement automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Promote innovation and institutionalize best practices across the enterprise.
Capability Building & Change Leadership
Build organizational capability in Lean Six Sigma, Process Excellence, Project Management, Business Excellence, and Continuous Improvement.
Design and deliver competency development programs, certification journeys, workshops, and leadership awareness sessions.
Develop internal Process Excellence Champions and foster a culture of operational excellence across business functions.
Lead enterprise change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes, systems, and operating models.
Benchmarking, Knowledge Management & External Recognition
Establish and lead the Enterprise Benchmarking Program by evaluating internal performance against industry leaders and best-in-class organizations.
Drive knowledge management through best practice repositories, case studies, and success stories.
Lead participation in Group-level initiatives, Business Excellence Awards, Quality Awards, and external industry forums to enhance organizational recognition and competitive positioning.
Stakeholder Management
Act as a trusted advisor to Executive Leadership, Business Heads, and Functional Leaders on enterprise transformation initiatives.
Influence senior stakeholders to drive alignment, governance, and execution excellence.
Build collaborative partnerships across Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance, HR, and Customer Experience functions to deliver sustainable business outcomes.
