Primary Responsibilities:
The In‑charge – Site HT/SS BOP is responsible for overseeing High Tension (HT), Sub‑Station (SS), and Balance of Plant (BOP) operations at site level. The role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operation and maintenance of electrical systems, supporting uninterrupted power evacuation and adherence to OMS service commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Site Operations & Maintenance
Manage day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of HT lines, substations, and BOP equipment at site.
Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of electrical evacuation systems.
Execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.
Technical & Safety Compliance
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, SOPs, statutory regulations, and OMS policies.
Implement LOTO, PTW, and electrical safety practices at site.
Support safety audits, inspections, and closure of observations.
Sub‑Station & HT Management
Oversee operation of switchgear, transformers, breakers, protection systems, and relays.
Monitor substation parameters, faults, trippings, and restoration activities.
Coordinate shutdowns, energization, and synchronization activities.
Planning & Coordination
Plan manpower, tools, spares, and material requirements for HT/SS BOP activities.
Coordinate with central engineering, SCADA, material planning, and procurement teams.
Support grid coordination, utilities, and external agencies as required.
MIS & Documentation
Maintain site logs, maintenance records, shutdown reports, and compliance documentation.
Prepare site‑level MIS on availability, breakdowns, incidents, and maintenance activities.
Team & Stakeholder Management
Supervise site technicians and contractors working on HT/SS BOP systems.
Act as primary site point of contact for HT/SS related operational issues and escalations.
Support customer and internal reviews related to electrical performance.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
8–12+ years of experience in HT, Sub‑Station, or BOP operations and maintenance
Strong exposure to wind, power, renewable, utility, or industrial electrical systems preferred
Valid electrical supervisory competency/license as per statutory requirements (preferred)
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of HT systems, substations, and power evacuation
High safety and compliance orientation
Troubleshooting and fault analysis capability
Site coordination and execution skills
Documentation and MIS reporting discipline
