Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:
Test Execution: Execute detailed manual test cases for Native Android/iOS apps and Web Portals, covering functional, regression, UI/UX, and sanity testing.
Test Design: Review product requirements (PRDs) and designs to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases with high coverage.
Defect Lifecycle: Identify, log, and track defects in JIRA. Provide clear reproduction steps, logs, and screenshots to help developers fix issues quickly.
API Testing: Perform backend validation by testing REST APIs using Postman to ensure data accuracy and proper response handling.
Cross-Platform Testing: Verify app consistency across different devices, screen sizes, and OS versions (Android and iOS).
Release Support: Participate in weekly release cycles, conducting smoke testing and regression testing to ensure stable deployments.
Collaboration: Work closely with Developers and Product Managers in an Agile/Scrum environment to understand features and provide daily status updates.
Root Cause Analysis: Go beyond just reporting "what" failed; investigate server logs or network calls (using Charles Proxy/Fiddler) to understand "why" it failed.
Requirements:
Education: B. E. / B. Tech in Computer Science / IT / related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of proven experience in Manual Testing (Mobile and Web).
Mobile Testing: Strong hands-on experience testing Android/iOS apps. Familiarity with ADB commands and capturing crash logs.
API Knowledge: Good understanding of API testing using Postman (verifying status codes, response bodies, etc. ).
Database Skills: Basic to Intermediate knowledge of SQL for verifying data updates in the backend.
Tools: Proficiency in JIRA for bug tracking and Test Management tools (like Zephyr/TestRail).
Preferred:
Experience in EdTech or B2C consumer apps.
Exposure to "Offline Mode" testing or low-network condition testing.
Basic understanding of automation tools (Selenium/Appium) is a plus (willingness to learn).
Skills:
Technical: Mobile App Testing, Web Testing, API Testing (Postman), SQL, JIRA.
Debugging: Ability to read device logs (Logcat/Xcode) and use network sniffing tools (Charles/Fiddler).
Process: Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
