Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering excellent service while ensuring system efficiency and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement effective solutions.
Install, test, and commission HVAC equipment including air conditioners, chillers, heat pumps, furnaces, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units.
Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance reports.
Respond to emergency service requests and equipment breakdowns.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding service findings, recommendations, and repair costs.
Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory responsibly.
Support energy efficiency initiatives and optimize HVAC system performance.
Required Qualifications
Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls.
Ability to use diagnostic tools, gauges, meters, and testing equipment.
Valid driver's license (if field service role).
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency call-outs when required.
Preferred Qualifications
HVAC/R certification or relevant trade license.
Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
Knowledge of energy management systems and preventive maintenance practices.
Understanding of local safety and environmental regulations.
