Role Description The Assistant Manager will support day-to-day branch and business operations in the Pune Division, ensuring smooth delivery of banking services to customers. Responsibilities include managing customer queries and service requests, assisting in account opening and transaction processing, and supporting compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, preparing operational and sales reports, and contributing to branch targets through effective customer engagement and upselling appropriate banking products. The Assistant Manager will also help implement process improvements, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold high standards of risk management and data confidentiality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division.
Qualifications
Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and build long-term customer trust.
Solid understanding of banking products and services, including accounts, loans, payments, and basic wealth management offerings.
Competence in operational processes, documentation, and compliance, with attention to detail and adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines.
Proficiency in MS Office and core banking systems, with comfort in using digital tools and learning new technologies.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including clear written and verbal communication in English and local languages as applicable.
Strong analytical and numerical abilities to interpret data, prepare reports, and support decision-making.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; prior experience in banking or financial services is an advantage.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to customer data confidentiality and ethical conduct.
