Candidates are expected to have a basic understanding of Finance concepts and be comfortable working with financial and operational data, Excel/Google Sheets, and analytical tasks.
If you are not from a B.Com, Finance, BBA, MBA, Economics, or related background, please go through the complete JD carefully before applying. You should apply only if you have a working knowledge of basic Finance concepts and are comfortable handling finance-related responsibilities.
The role includes cost tracking, budget vs. actual analysis, variance reporting, cost-efficiency analysis, vendor management, procurement, and financial data analysis.

Role Overview
The Generalist & Operations Intern is a high-ownership role at the intersection of:
Finance
Vendor Operations
Business Analytics
Procurement
AI-enabled operations
You will work directly with the Operations and Finance teams on live business problems, including tracking costs, managing vendor operations and contracts, building dashboards, analyzing data, and supporting procurement decisions.
This is not a shadowing role. You will own real deliverables from Day 1.
Key Responsibilities
Cost & Budget Management
Maintain day-to-day cost records.
Proactively identify and flag cost anomalies.
Prepare cost-efficiency reports.
Identify opportunities for cost savings.
Track actual expenses against planned budgets.
Report and analyze budget variances.
Vendor Operations
Manage the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including onboarding and documentation.
Ensure vendor compliance.
Research and shortlist vendors based on business requirements.
Support vendor negotiations.
Help drive cost-effective vendor outcomes.
Handle legal documentation and due diligence for new vendor contracts.
Data, Reporting & AI
Build and maintain Excel/Google Sheets trackers.
Create and maintain dashboards.
Use SQL to extract operational and financial data.
Analyze data for reporting and business decision-making.
Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot for research, analysis and automation.
Follow an AI-first approach to problem-solving.
Who We're Looking For
Educational Background
Final-year students graduating in 2026/27 or recent graduates.
Preferred backgrounds include B.Com, BBA, Economics, or related fields.
Candidates from other backgrounds may apply only if they have a strong understanding of basic Finance concepts and can demonstrate relevant analytical/operational skills.
Finance Knowledge
Candidates should be comfortable with basic concepts such as:
Revenue, costs and profit
Fixed and variable costs
Budget vs. actuals
Variance analysis
Cost efficiency and cost savings
Basic P&L concepts
Procurement and vendor-cost concepts
